Measurement Test and Math box
Parents,
We’re extending the measurment unit into this week! A packet has been sent home for them to work on during the week. It will be due on Friday. There is also a game that they can play about perimeter that was sent home. Their test will be on Wednesday. They need to be able to convert measurments. ex. 8 quarts= 2 gallons, etc. We have learned both metric and customary in capacity, length, and mass. They have all of the conversions in their math notes, which they can take home to study and in their planners on pg. 5!
Film Club
Due to conferences and my not feeling well, we’ve moved yesterdays film club meeting to next Wed. Sorry about that!
Report Card Error
Parents! There is an error on your child’s report cards. It has some students listed with a number of unexcused absences. We don’t even do unexcused at this school. I talked with our secretary and she has said that it’s a district mistake. We will hopefully get that taken care of for you. We have to make some calls to the district to figure out what happened there! So, for now, just disregard it.
Wednesday
It’s time for conferences again! They are Wed. and Thurs. from 4-7:30. I sent home report cards today along with the time scheduled for your conference. If you can’t make it, please let me know. If you need to schedule a different time, please contact me and we will see what we can do!
We will be having our film club meeting Wed. for “Newsies”.
Lastly, remind your kids to wear a little something green. I will remind the students that pinching is not allowed, but it wouldn’t hurt to be a little cautious. : )
Report Cards
Parents- Report cards come home on Monday- hopefully! That is when I can print them, so I will try to put them together and get them to you!
Conferences are scheduled for Wed. and Thurs. next week from 4:00- 7:30. You will get a reminder of the time you signed up for with the report card. If you didn’t schedule a time, I assigned one to you. If you can’t make it, please let me know! Thanks so much! Look forward to seeing you all!

Parent Survey
Parents! There is a survey going home tonight that I need to have filled out and brought back tomorrow! It doesn’t need to have a name on it or anything. Thanks for your help!
Also, they were assigned their counties today. I will be sending home some information about it tomorrow for you to see.
Stamps!
Please remember to have your students bring a stamp to mail out their letters to their county on Monday!
-Also, Their Pioneer Poem is due on Monday. They need to have their parts memorized!!!!
Friday!
There are a few things I forgot to have them put in their planner tonight! Mostly just reminders.
1) Don’t forget your county choices and your stamp tomorrow!!!!
2) Book Battle forms must be turned in tomorrow to count! And they must be signed!!!!
3) Read-a-thon tomorrow!
Wednesday
A few things going on tomorrow I didn’t mention yesterday.
*Film club meets tomorrow for their special meeting about Percy Jackson.

Conferences are coming up! Sign-ups start tomorrow and end next Wednesday. Conferences are March 17th and 18th from 4-7:30. The online sign-up is a new schoolwide thing. To sign up you go to Foothills homepage and click on online scheduler. Unfortunately, there are only 30 timeslots availabe. I have 30 students, so it’s first-come, first- served. The sooner you sign up the better! If you don’t sign up, you will be assigned a time. If you are not planning on attending please let me know so I can leave that time slot available to someone else. Thank you!
*Lastly- Please don’t forget to send your children home with their treasurebook forms filled out tomorrow! It’s very important I get them back! Thankyou!
Busy Week!
Hey parents! We have a lot going on this week. Please read this through carefully:
Tuesday- They need to bring recorders and library books.
Wednesday- February reading calendars are due no later!
– Treasure Book forms are due- They MUST turn it in to me no later! The first book is free- that one is taken care of. If you want a second or more copies the price starts at $15 per additional book. If you do not want an extra copy, there is a small box down at the bottom of the form that says “no”. Please check that box and sign it if you don’t want any additional books. ALL students must turn this in before I can get their treasure books bound.
Thurs- Spelling and Vocab. test
Friday- Book Battle forms are due! They must be signed for the minutes to count!
– We are having a read-a-thon. Students can bring a book to read, a sandwich-sized snack bag with snacks for themselves, and 1 pillow OR blanket. It must all fit in their back-pack, zipped up.
– Lastly, their county choices are due! We will begin writing to our counties on Monday, next week. I sent home a form tonight. They need to pick their top three choices. I will give them one of their choices. If I don’t get the form back, I will choose their county for them. I will be sending home more information on it next week. Also, they need to bring a stamp, no later than Friday to mail their letter.
